Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cells

Hydrogen energy is a clean and versatile energy carrier that can be produced from various resources, including water and natural gas, and used to generate electricity through fuel cells without emitting greenhouse gases. Fuel cells convert hydrogen and oxygen into electricity, heat, and water through an electrochemical process, making them highly efficient and environmentally friendly power sources for applications ranging from transportation to stationary power generation. Advances in green hydrogen production using renewable energy, hydrogen storage technologies, and fuel cell designs are accelerating the adoption of hydrogen as a key component in the transition to a low-carbon energy system. Hydrogen offers the potential for long-duration energy storage and can help decarbonize sectors that are difficult to electrify, such as heavy industry and long-haul transport.
